- NCFR Quarterly Publication REPORT - The NCFR Report is a member-written quarterly newsletter designed to encourage member-to-member dialogue; to inform colleagues about new research areas or to report early research findings and solicit critique before submission to a professional journal. Through the Report, NCFR also builds our community by reporting on people, events and organizational news.
- Journal of Marriage and Family is the leading scholarly research journal in the family field. It features original research and theory, research interpretation, critical discussion concerning all aspects of marriage and families, and book reviews. Five issues per year including access to “FULL TEXT ONLINE.” Access to all volumes dating back to 1938.
- Family Relations: Interdisciplinary Journal of Applied Family Studies
is an applied scholarly journal with a family practitioner focus. Emphasis is on relationships across the life cycle with implications for intervention, education, and public policy. Five issues per year including access to “FULL TEXT ONLINE.” Access to all volumes dating back to 1938.
- Journal of Family Theory & Review seeks to encourage integration and growth in the multidisciplinary and international domains of inquiry that define contemporary family studies. The journal publishes original contributions in all areas of family theory, including new advances in theory development, reviews of existing theory, and analyses of the interface of theory and method, as well as integrative and theory based reviews of content areas, and book reviews.
- Professional Development and Networking:
- Special Interest Sections - NCFR offers members 10 different Special Interest Sections which provide opportunities to exchange ideas, research and information. These Sections include: Education and Enrichment, Ethnic Minorities, Family and Health, Family Policy, Family Science, Family Therapy, Feminism and Family Studies, International, Religion and Family Life, and Research and Theory. You must be a member of NCFR to join a Section.
- Affiliate Council Membership - NCFR members are automatically members of their state or regional affiliate councils. Over 30 councils offer opportunities for networking and information sharing at the local level. Affiliates also develop their own workshops, conferences, and newsletters.

- NCFR Annual Conference - The NCFR Annual Conference provides a forum for professional development and discussion through plenary sessions, presentations of research and practice models, and dialogue among conference attendees. Approximately 1,200 professionals and graduate students attend the conference each year.
- Certified Family Life Education (CFLE) - NCFR sponsors the only national program to certify family life educators. The Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) program encourages applications from all professionals with course work and experience in family life education including formal teaching, community education, curriculum and resource development, health care, military family support, counseling, and ministry.
