Education and Enrichment — Awards

Ernest G. Osborne Award
The Education and Enrichment Section sponsors the Osborne Award program to recognize excellence in teaching in the family field. The purpose of the Osborne Award is "to recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and excellence in the teaching of family relationships. It is in memory of Ernest G. Osborne, three-time President of NCFR, an outstanding family life educator at Teachers College, Columbia University, New York."

Margaret E. Arcus Outstanding Family Life Educator Award
The Margaret E. Arcus Outstanding Family Life Educator Award was established for three reasons:

  1. To honor the remarkable contribution made to family life education by Margaret Arcus during a long and productive career.
  2. To encourage that tradition of excellence and scholarship in family life education by recognizing family life education scholars and practitioners who advance the field of family life education through significant contributions, and
  3. To increase the visibility and credibility of family life education scholarship and practice.
